Did you know there are 900 kids in Maine with wishlists to fill this Christmas? Many consist of basic needs items like winter coats, hats and gloves, and some want things like dolls or art supplies. Did you know that FOOD is the #1 need item for kids in the Opportunity Alliance Head Start Program? To say the need is great would be an understatement. Collectively, we can make a BIG impact for this need. North Point is excited to be a drop off point for this deserving cause. We are partnering up with Cyndi Veroneau at Carriage House Mortgage to do as much good as possible through December 15th.
For now, we are focusing on the smaller kids, about size 5/6 and under.
* Any winter outerwear, ie. hats, mittens, boots, long johns, snow pants. Sizes infant to 6/7.
* Child friendly food (pasta, sauce, peanut butter, cereal, Mac and cheese, crackers, juice boxes, boxed milk (not dry milk, but the shelf stable stuff), applesauce, tuna/canned chicken, baby food packets, baby cereal. Basically, any food you may have given your kids from 0-5 y.o. Gift cards are also accepted.
* Socks, underwear (new please), baby clothes and onesies, blankets, sweaters, maybe some warm jammies. Warm pants, fleece, basically anything a kid would wear on a cold Maine day/night.
* Diapers, Diapers, Diapers. These are always critical.
